Why Adventures? Well, in 1997 I went to PUU 97, a wood sculpture symposium in Estonia. Sounded like a nice adventure, and I planned a couple side trips, too. But while there, I found out about another symposium in France, and... well, you will just have to read the stories. I have been travelling and sculpting and teaching in Europe since then.

a Haabyas, an Estonian log boat, in 1998.

The boat is carved in a rolled-up condition, as you can see,
and then it is opened up into a boat by roasting it over fires.
